Governance
The Independent Transport Union (ITU) Inc. is a Union and Industrial Association incorporated under the Associations Incorporation Reform Act 2012 and registered with ASIC under the Corporations Act 2001 as a Registrable Australian Body (which gives us our ARBN).
Every year the ITU must have their financial records audited by qualified auditors and must hold an annual general meeting with all members to approve the financial records.
The ITU is not affiliated to any political party.

Membership fees
The ITU is a not-for-profit union and membership fees are used for members industrial advocacy, representation, bargaining and campaigning. Our account records will be audited yearly by qualified auditors and the use of our income will comply with our Rules and legislation.
